Kite Flight 2003
Callaway, Nebraska
Callaway was a great time once again. Great company, huge crowds, good food, and amazing kites. The wind was a little less than desirable this year (although I heard that Monday was especially sweet) but the flyers did their best to give the spectators a really fine show. Flyers from Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, and North Dakota converged on Callaway, the heart of Nebraska, for a three day fun fly. Thanks to John Gabby for his fantastic work as Master of Ceremonies at the microphone, to Mary Gabby for flying her raffle della portas to the joy of the crowd, to Mike Shaw for working so diligently to keep great color in the sky, to Don Murphy for bringing the big stuff, to Betty for always being so supportive, and to Bruce and Blake for having the good taste to compliment my kites. :-)
See you next year for Kite Flight 2004. Dates will be September 4th, 5th, and 6th.
