The 26th Annual AKA National Convention at Dayton, Ohio was the best of times for me, good times for most, and some not so good times for others. 100 years ago, Wilbur and Orville Wright had weeks in Dayton that probably had much the same karma, good sprinkled with bad, and they found their wings anyway. That too would be true for the majority of attendees of the convention. So in spite of broken kites, rude persons with power issues, and performances less stellar than this fan expected, the joy of spending time with friends made the Dayton Convention a wonderful event and truly amazing experience. Thank you AKA for a great party.

Packy's was the restaurant/lounge at the convention hotel that served great blue margaritas, filling breakfasts, and eye-popping hamburgers.

Brian, thanks for being my good luck charm. I wouldn't be holding that trophy if it wouldn't have been for your help.

Finally, a smile from Ron Despojado.

And I still feel as if I should be asking them for autographs. Thanks guys for your friendship!

OK, I'm a happy girl. 1st place finish for my hex star train and third person standing for Grand National Champion. A truly magical moment for me.
