July 3rd & 4th Fun Fly 2005
Monterey and
Berkeley,

After the Point Arena Lighthouse Festival was cancelled, the fliers who were scheduled to fly there got together at Monterey and enjoyed a fine day of flying and a yummy barbeque dinner. Jim, Dan, Rob, and Brian filled the sky at Sand Beach and put on a great show for the sunbathing spectators. Brian launched his 90 foot spinsock for its first California flight and delighted us all with its fine preformance. On the Fourth, Brian took me to Berkeley for a day of kiteflying and a night of patriotic fireworks. Thanks Brian for making the celebration so enjoyable. I know we both wanted to be at the lighthouse, but you made it a good couple of days anyway.
