Mike Shaw's original kite joins a White Bird dragon to easily handle the strong Friday wind.

Tony and Ann Killip and their grandson made the journey from Indiana to add great color to the Skydance sky.

Don and Betty Murphy from Nebraska. Don is the AKA Region 7 Director.

Saturday started cloudy but the breeze was sweet. Don's Trilobyte lorded over the east field.

Mike Gee made the long drive from Jamestown. Such a sweetie to add so much to Skydance knowing he was just able to be there for the day. Thanks.

Skippy was a crowd favorite. Mary Gabby's coup staff graced the field.

The crowd tried to stay warm by using the guardhouse as a wind break.

Mike Shaw worked all weekend to provide a great show.

Ground color.

The banners of the Killips and the George Peters banners that Mike Shaw brought added a festive flair.

Kid's kitemaking.

Several kites decorating the sky.

Another photo of the colorful banners.

The parking lot was full most of the weekend.

The Trooper kite that was given to Dick Messerly, Fort Stevenson State Park Superintendent.

It's a party.

The lobster flied well all of Saturday.

A lull in the wind let me walk to a different view of the Skydance sky.

The event tent became the location for the Saturday night feed.

Kyle's BBQ ribs and chicken were enjoyed by the fliers young and old.

Mike Shaw provided the goodies (wine, cheese, crackers) for the pre meal festivities. Thanks bunches.
