It was great to get back to Squaw Valley and see all the changes that have happened there since my first sojourn in 2002. The Inn at Squaw Valley provides comfortable condo lodging. The addition of more restaurants and shops gives options galore to tourists and kite flyers. Derek was a fantastic host. The Italian meal that was served to the flyers was delicious. OK, we could have done without the thunder, lightning,  hail, rain, and snow, but heck, a person can't have perfection all the time. I personally liked the combination of kites and blues music. I hope it continues.

The guys try to diagnosis and fix my poor bird before the Squaw event. Thanks for trying.

Dan Whitney heading up the mountain. So good to play with you again Danny Boy. I missed you.

Brian and I in the tram headed up to High Camp.

The other gondola headed back down the hill.

Pictures just have to be taken.

I can't believe I came all this way just to play in SNOW. Somewhere out there is a kite...long lost but not forgotten.

Almost at 8200 feet.

A great crew to fly with. Good to see you again JJ and Brenda. Ask me sometime about the sticker that Brenda made for me. Outstanding.

Awe dad, do I have to???

Zen II waiting for a breeze.

Brian's crown is still a favorite.

Mountain wild flowers...I like this version of white!!!

Launching the Meanie.

Finally a breeze to dance in the sky.

He is so cool. Thanks Brian for dragging the Meanie up the hill.

Two very handsome guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such kite love at the end of the flying day. Hey Danny, wanna go play blackjack in Reno???

Thanks Brian for getting me to Squaw Valley. You are the best.

Approaching the bottom of the tram run. See you next year.
